Also boil the potato until a bit soft.. Take a baking dish and add in tuna and the baking sauce.. Then add in the boiled pasta and you mix them thoroughly.. Then sprinkle a reasonable amount of mozarella cheese over the well-mixed pasta. The thicker the yummier :). (Oh yeah, before doing that you might wanna pre-heat the oven to 200 deg C).

The potato part I got the idea from master chef BB (hehe..). So for this one.. you peel off the skin and cut them to thin slices.. Then you sprinkle some of the McCormick seasoning onto it and place them gracefully on top of the mozarella cheese covering the pasta. So once all of that is done, put it into the pre-heated oven & wait for 15-20 minutes.. or simply just watch out for the cheese to turn to slightly brown in colour..

And there you go.. all done!

<div color: rgb(0, 102, 0);">sambal to thicken. so, be patient! i usually let it cook with the meedium-high heat but be sure to always stir if under high heat (hangus dibawahnya tu). then finally, add dark soy sauce to give it a darker colour if necessary. 2 or 3 gradual drops will do the trick. add sugar to taste. before adding any salt or msg, taste the sambal first as the shrimp paste may already have given the salty taste. i rarely put salt/msg when i prepare this.

"Coconut Rice" aka "Nasi Lemak"

i've tried making coconut rice for quiet a few times now and it has never been perfect. i hate that firm and inconsistent texture's outcome every time i attempted making it in the past! you know, nasi yang macam balum masak atu. i also loathe the moment when the rice cooker button turns from 'cook' to 'warm' when in fact the coconut rice hasn't fully cooked yet (see tips below). but now, the coconut rice is perfect to my liking. it could have been more lamak if i put 4 cups of coconut milk, instead of 3. but i guess i'll pass. hahaha. unhealthy! oh yea, the coconut rice wasn't up to my liking in the past wasn't because of the ingredients, it was because the way it was cooked actually. this is where my mum's saying goes "ikut tangan tu lai, pebaik tah babu bagi tau resipi and cemana buat". ceh! hahaha. well, i do believe in that pulang jua. so, i'm just gonna say the same to those who wanna try this recipe. "ikut tangan tu kamu ah" :P

Ingredients:
5 cups rice
3 cups coconut milk
2 cups water
salt to taste

Method:
wash and drain the rice first. then, add coconut milk and water to a rice pot. add a little salt as well. then let the rice cooks on a stove (be sure to constant stir the rice) till no more liquid is seen. next, place the rice pot on a rice cooker. leave the rice there until it's fully cooked. ensure you stir every 5 minutes (it's up to you actually, as long as you don't get burnt rice).

Tips:
if you think your rice is still firm and inconsistent, just keep warming the rice cooker or press the "cook" button again. from my experience, the latter is far more effective than the former. yet, at times, the rice cooker can be so stubborn, meaning that you can't press the 'cook' button at all as the pot is way too hot already. so in that case, just stick a sellotape to that button. hahaha. honestly, that's what i've decided to do when it comes to cooking this. but then again, be sure you watch out your rice by stirring once in a while. otherwise, you'll get burnt coconut rice.

so it's the sellotape that makes my coconut rice perfect. many thanks to Mea for coming out with that idea last time. hahaha "sellotape kali ia san rice cooker ah..." i still remember that statement from her.

<div style="text-align: right; on a plate! it could have been more merrier and scrumptious if there were peanuts and beef to add to. hehe. there were side dishes served as well, long beans and rock melon, along with fizzy drinks. oh well, we had a great evening dining together, and as Azm said, "it's really a good dish tonight kamu. banar!"

color: rgb(204, 0, 0);">Method:
note: do not heat the butter, just take a tablespoon (for 2 piece of lambchop) of butter. not too much, otherwise your lamb chops will be too oily later when cooked. it's added to give an extra taste and to avoid spreading some oil later. so basically, mix all the marinade ingredients together in a shallow container (with a cover). then finally soak the lambchops well in the marinade. cover the container and refrigerate it for a day (it's not necessary for a day, 3-5 hours would do. but i like it to be soaked for a day for a much stronger taste). you can either grill it, or just oven it at 280'C for 30 minutes or less (it depends on the thickness of the lamb chops and how well done you want the chops to be - rare, medium-rare, medium-well done, well done). note the temperature used depends on your oven at home as well. so, to be on a safe side, starts off with 200'C. do not forget to turn halfway through the cooking. oh yea, as you would notice, i didn't write down the exact quantity for each ingredient because i, myself, don't even measure. i just put whatever amount i want and adjust it according to how many kilos of lamb chops i'm gonna marinade. another important thing is, i use specific brands in my cooking because they are the best. so feel free to choose your favourite brands and modify the ingredients according to your liking.

<span style="color: rgb(204, 0, 0); "tumpi malas" and "tumpi banar". but today, i'm just gonna share "tumpi malas" as i cook "tumpi malas" more often than "tumpi banar" cause it doesn't take long to prepare. so here goes...

...inda payah rasa, cium bau saja... - "master chef" BB

Ingredients:
4 tablespoons plain flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
water (reasonable amount)
cooking oil

Method:
mix the first 3 ingredients together in a bowl using a whisk but as for myself, i simply use a tablespoon. in this recipe, it doesn't matter which one you use actually. and note that, the final batter shouldn't be too thick and too thin. the consistency of the batter is similar to that of fritters' batter. after the batter is ready, preheat the frying pan of your desired size with a little bit of oil on a medium heat. then pour the batter into frying pan. cook over a medium heat for 3-4 minutes on each side or until golden brown. the more golden brown the colour, the crispier the "tumpi". i personally like it to be crispy. it's up to you how you would like the texture to be. so good luck!

<span style="font-weight: bold;
